Newark MMORPG Examiner: MMORPGs occasionally ruin lives and relationships
After reading the Escapist yesterday, and having an article forwarded to me by my best friend, it seems that something wanted me to write about gamers in failing relationships because of MMOs.
There is no doubt in my mind that many people have been transformed into slavering, one-minded cretins because of a game. The obsession with grinding levels or getting loot can become the sole focus of their world. However, after reading this Escapist article, I feel less bad for the certain type of whiney jerk who can’t confront their spouse in any fashion. “Ohhhh, my wife doesn’t pay attention to me anymore! I make dinner, and she doesn’t care, and she doesn’t wash the dishes. I’ve tried to tell her that she spends too much time with WoW, but she doesn’t listen.”
